Brick & Stone Front

Brick is a very effective way to make a strong first impression. When people walk up or drive by a home with concrete brick, second glances are common reactions. If you own a home with concrete brick as your exterior veneer, you already know this. If you are planning on using it, be prepared to have your neighbors ask questions while admiring the beauty of your concrete brick.

About Brick

Brick masonry is made up from clay and shale. There are two differing Brickmethods to create brick masonry. One is when the clay is shaped into a column and then wire cut to provide rectangular pieces of brick. The other is when brick masonry can be made by pressing clay into separate rectangular molds. The bricks are then fired under extremely high temperatures. Both ways produce brick masonry which makes for an excellent building product.

The Advantages of Brick Masonry Brick masonry has several advantages over other types of building materials. Brick masonry does not warp, bend, dent, rot, rust, burn or splinter. Even the colors of brick masonry will not fade since the bricks are fired at extremely high temperatures, locking the colors in. Brick masonry does not need painting or staining. It looks naturally beautiful just the way it is.

Brick masonry is known to be hard-wearing and, most importantly, long-lasting. Constructing with brick masonry means you will have a piece of work that will last a lifetime. For this reason, and the fact that hardly any maintenance is needed, many homeowners consider brick masonry to be a very good investment.Brick Studies have even shown that the majority of home buyers opt for houses made up of brick masonry due to its many advantages. Another fact is that brick masonry can reduce your fire insurance premium by up to fifty percent.
